Dear Reese,
This morning, I bring you into bed when you wake up at 6:15 and we start listening to the new Taylor Swift album together. We sit enraptured for a couple of songs before you ask for breakfast, but keep listening . . . all day. It’s the first new album I’ve been able to share with you and will be our go-to soundtrack for a while.
Kai and family are up for the weekend. We eat pasta with them for dinner and play outside afterwards until it’s dark, and we have to go home. We visit our house — it’s been mostly insulated and the well is being dug. There are uninstalled windows in the garage. I see the ones that will be in your room.
Before we leave, you go give MorMor a hug since she’s resting in bed with vertigo. Nothing better than a hug from Reese.
I run a D&D game tonight after you’re asleep — my throat is still a little sore and my voice a bit raspy and everything has been a lot lately and I’m tired, but if you don’t prioritize connection and fun, what is it all for?
Love,
Mama
