Dear Reese,
We go to the Whitefish Dunes this morning. It’s been a couple of years for me, but with the water level lower, the big beach looks like the beach of my childhood. The sand stays with us until evening bathtime, but it’s a perfect day to be there. Just warm enough, low wind, the sun is out.
You hold MorMor’s hands and walk along the beach with your feet in the water. I think it’s a little too cold for that, but you rope me into getting wet during your second walkabout. I could stay here for hours with a book to read. Someday I hope you’ll want to do that with me.
But for today, we pack up after an hour so we can head to lunch. We are very lucky that we live in a place where it’s easy to go to the beach for an hour and then carry on with the day.
Love,
Mama
