Dear Reese,
Amid the constant work, an anomaly. I got my entire executive team to play Dungeons & Dragons last night. Most of them had never played before. One person wasn’t told what we were doing until he sat down at the table.
Despite that, there were lots of laughs and statistical marvel of natural ones rolled. They got pretty beaten up by a regular crocodile, whose encounter balance said “trivial”.
It was fun. But then I was too keyed up, or my mind was too busy, or I just missed you so much that I barely slept. I see you on FaceTime this evening, and you smile, but then get frustrated and cry. I am frustrated and want to cry, too. I just want to hold you. But we are both keeping ourselves distracted.
Love,
Mama
