Fall Back
November 2, 2025 — 8:21pm
Dear Reese,
I am on team get-rid-of-daylight-savings-time. Spring Forward has always been painful when you lose an hour. Fall Back, gaining an hour, used to feel like a luxury. As a parent, it feels like a completely unnecessary wrench in your kid’s schedule as you try to adjust. It makes for a very early morning and a long day.
We filled the day with good things though. A trip to Bailey’s Harbor when you hugged giant skelatons and ran around the playground. Biking and sandboxing and exploring our home-in-progress back at the cottage.
We are both feeling the time difference tonight. My eyes keep closing as I write and I might be lights out by 8:30pm. In the end you went to bed pretty close to your target bedtime, so if you can manage to sleep in the morning we’ll adjust pretty quicklu
Love,
Mama
