Feeding the Cats

Dear Reese,

Cappi and you have gotten into an evening routine of feeding the cats together. He spoils them with wet food every day while we’re at the cottage. They deserve to be a little spoiled.

You like to help, shaking the can the way you’ve seen him do it and getting the food onto their plates. I watch you pick up Merlin’s plate and bring it over to him. Cappi switched to plastic plates since you tend to drop the plate a little too early, before it’s safely on the ground.

You are not used to having the cat food and water so accessible. We are learning together that the cats do not want a bunch of dry food marinating in their water bowl. But you are a good listener and learn fast.
