Dear Reese,
One day you will be too big to fall asleep on me. But not today. You drift off as we walk through the exhibits of the maritime museum — your first visit. I sit down in the shipwreck room and listen to the simulated sounds of the storm: waves crashing, rain pouring.
Every parent with older kids, when they see me, tells me to enjoy it: these moments, this stage of life. But they don’t need to remind me. You are asleep on my shoulder. You are in my arms. Maybe I’ll miss some moments I should have slowed down for, but not this one.
Love,
Mama
I can’t wait to go to the Maritme Museum!!!
