Dear Reese,
I leave work early so we can all go to the playground in Bailey’s Harbor. It’s your first time there, and you and Kai explore and watch the big kids run around. That’ll be you soon enough. You’re not quite as mobile as Kai yet, but I help you walk down the log plank and block the dropoff when you stand up on the high platform.

MorMor reports you are still not quite yourself today (yes, we’re still blaming teething — a coworker gives me a link to oral pain relief meds for babies that their family swears by so maybe we’ll give that a try), but you seem to have a great time.
And you devour your dinner from Mauricio’s that Cappi brings home . . . or at least I think you do. There’s rice involved, and that and plenty of dropped quesadilla pieces are all over the floor. I take you home half-dressed and smeared with guacamole before I get you in the bath. I’m hoping the big dinner and full bottle before bed help you sleep. Last night we broke a decent nighttime streak, and I ended up in bed with you just before midnight after you woke up screaming.
In other news, my mostly satirical presentation I did today about D&D being added to my job description got shared with my CEO, and now he wants to talk more about it and play some D&D to see what it’s all about when we meet in person this summer. So, wild day.
Love,
Mama
