Dear Reese,
Your teacher tells me you had a good day, but seemed tired. They ask if you slept okay last night. I tell them you slept over eleven hours solid. You woke up, then two hours later, you took another two-hour nap at daycare. Growth spurt?
When you’re sleepy at daycare, you just lie down on the floor. It’s an effective way to communicate.
I wish I could do that in my office sometimes. Instead, I do jumping jacks and walk for a couple of hours on the desk treadmill to try to shake the afternoon slump.
And, to be honest, I have lain down on my office floor before, so I feel you.
In other news, I am no longer sending bottles with you. Sippy cups all the way, baby.
Love,
Mama
