Dear Reese,
Each week feels like leaps and bounds with you. I drop you off with MorMor and Cappi this morning, and when I pick you you’ve learned to climb up stairs.
You demonstrate for me before dinner. Cappi sits at the top, and I follow behind you as you tackle the carpeted steps to the bunk room faster than I could have imagined.
You’re cruising around the coffee table and pulling to stand every chance you get, but I can logic my way into those — I’ve seen you practice those skills, and you have plenty of opportunity at day care during the week.
But when have you ever encountered stairs? Apparently, you figured it out on the first go today. I am very impressed and proud. And also grateful I don’t have stairs inside the condo that I need to fence off.
Love,
Mama
