Thanksgiving 2025
November 27, 2025 — 8:07pm
Dear Reese,
This is the first Thanksgiving when you can eat the meal. I’m pleased to report that you enjoyed it. Mashed potatoes, corn, stuffing, and turkey were right up your alley. It’s hard not to be in love with MorMor’s Thanksgiving cooking. It’s my favorite meal of the year.
We have a quiet Thanksgiving compared to some years. Just us, MorMor and Cappi, Kai, and your Aunt Amanda and Uncle Wes. This morning, we get out of the way at the cottage and go hang out at the Landmark where the other crew is staying. There’s a pool, and we go swimming for the first time in months — you love it.
The rest of the day is a blur of food, playing with Kai, and general toddler chasing. There’s a solid nap in the afternoon and then apple pie and cashew ice cream for a snack when you wake up. The best part about Thanksgiving as a midday meal is that you can already have leftovers for dinner.
I’m a little tired today — I got my flu shot and COVID booster yesterday, which probably contributed — but it’s impossible not to be thankful for our little family on this quiet, good holiday.

Love
Mama
