Tired & Okay

Dear Reese,

We listen to the Waitress soundtrack in the car
And later I try to sing a song from memory
While you brush your teeth
I do okay. So do you. With your teeth.
(At least, the toothbruth spends a good amount of time in your mouth.)

Teething is taking a long time 
Or maybe this is just month sixteen
Either way you whine and wiggle through dinner
And barely eat a bite 
I give you Tylenol twice today
It helps, kicking in as we take flashlights to our new house
And then turn the lights on inside 
(We have light, mostly0
We peer in at the tile setting in the bathroom
And you test the motion-sensing light in the pantry 

Before bed you stand at your kitchen tower
And eat peanut buter Cappi spoon feeds you 
We wash it off in the bath along with the (non-toxic) marker all over your chin

We are all tired and okay.
