Dear Reese,
The work event is over. I am exhausted. Depleted. I take myself on a walk to get tacos this afternoon, and then watch Moana 2 in the hotel room, and have to pause it so I can doze for 20 minutes.
The mountains are beautiful here in Boulder. I go up to a rooftop restaurant on Pearl Street with a few people and look out before an incoming downpour.
So many coworkers are stuck in Denver or Chicago tonight. I was feeling sad that I am not home to you, but so many people ran into weather issues today, it’s for the best that I am scheduled to come home in the morning.
By tomorrow evening, we’ll be together again. I know you’ve had a great week with MorMor and Cappi, but today, when my work business ends and the distractions wane, is when I am the most sad. I went into Boulder Book Store and got you a few things.
I am so excited to see you again.
Love,
Mama
