Visit

Dear Reese,

Your Mama A and big sissy come to visit for the day. You get a cauldron of Halloween books and a day of being entertained by your big sissy, who put on an involved parent-teacher conference in which she says how wonderful you’re doing at school. According to her, you are a great helper and know all your shapes.

I’m not sure about the shapes yet, but you are a great helper. You help when you forget how to swallow milk and let it spill right back out of your mouth onto the sunroom floor instead. You wipe it up with paper towels. We put the milk away for a bit.

At the end of the visit, your big sissy builds a blanket fort and you crawl inside to the play corner she set up for you. On your way out, you stand up in the middle and laugh and laugh as I try to rescue you from falling blankets. I am no longer built to army crawl, but we make it out.
